WEEK OF MAY 27, 2013: Graduation Gown Distribution Gowns are given to the students in homeroom. Students should place their gowns on a hanger to rid folding lines. Gowns CANNOT be ironed. A reminder letter with dates and times for graduation practice and graduation goes out to all parents. FRIDAY, MAY 31, 2013: Graduation Dance The dance is held at Nashua Catholic in the gymnasium. This is a semi-formal dance for ONLY 8th graders at Nashua Catholic. Light refreshments will be served. Times: TBA TUESDAY, JUNE 4, 2013: Graduation Practice & Textbook Buy Back Practice is at Immaculate Conception Church (216 E. Dunstable Rd, Nashua). Students need to be at the church before 10:00AM, and they will be finished around 11:30AM. 8th grade students have no school this day, so they must have their own transportation to and from the church. Students do not need to wear their uniforms, but appropriate casual dress is required. Classbooks.com will be at Nashua Catholic to buy back 8th grade textbooks from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. Our vendor purchases many textbooks from all levels of education. The best prices will be given to current hardcover Nashua Catholic books. (Remember: We are always grateful to families that wish to donate NC books back to Nashua Catholic. We'll see that they go to good use.) WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5, 2013: Scholastic Awards Ceremony This awards ceremony will recognize student academic achievements, extra-curricular achievements and character/leadership. The winner of the Helen J. Horan Scholarship is also announced. All are welcome to attend. The ceremony will begin at 12:30PM. THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2013: Graduation Graduation is celebrated with a Mass. Mass begins at 6:00PM at Immaculate Conception Church (216 E. Dunstable Rd, Nashua). Students should arrive at the Church Hall by 5:30PM. A reception in the Church Hall immediately follows graduation. Mass and graduation take approximately 90 minutes. Proper Mass attire is required to be worn underneath the graduation gown. No school for 8th grade this day. |
