Graduation Process and Activities at Nashua Catholic for the Class of 2012

Preparing for the June graduation begins as early as January. Here is an outline of the events that surround graduation:

Week of January 23, 2012: Students will be measured for gown sizes in homeroom

Week of February 6, 2012: Gown order is placed

Month of March, 2012: Gowns are checked against the order, sorted by homerooms and packed. Gown errors are reconciled, if needed.

Months of April and May of 2012: Graduation programs are ordered, the graduating class list is composed, and the diplomas are printed and alphabetized.

Week of May 28, 2012: Gowns are given to the students in homeroom. Students should place their gowns on a hanger to rid folding lines. Gowns CANNOT be ironed. A reminder letter with dates and times for graduation practice and graduation goes out to all parents.

Friday, June 1, 2012: Graduation Dance

Tuesday, June 5 is Graduation Practice. Practice is at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Road, Nashua. Practice hours are 10AM to 11:30 AM. Students have no school, so they must have their own transportation to and from the church. Casual, but appropriate dress is required. No classes on this day for 8th Grade.

Tuesday, June 5: 12:00 to 2:00P.M.   Textbook Buy Back by ClassBooks.com   Have your books earn money not collect dust!  Our vendor purchases many textbooks from all levels of education.  The best prices will be given to current hardcover Nashua Catholic books.  Remember:  We are always grateful to families that wish to donate NC books back to Nashua Catholic.  We’ll see they go to good use.

Wednesday, June 6: Scholastic Awards Ceremony 1:00P.M. All are welcome. 

Thursday, June 7 is Graduation! Mass begins at 6PM at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Road, NH.  Students should arrive at the Church Hall by 5:30 PM. A reception in the church hall immediately follows graduation. Mass and graduation take approximately 90 minutes. Proper mass attire is required to be worn underneath the graduation gown. No classes on this day for 8th Grade.
