Project Homeless Connect

On Monday, December 5th, Mrs. McFadden's B-period theology class went on a field trip to help set up Project Homeless Connect.

Project Homeless  Connect is held throughout the country.  It is an opportunity for the homeless individuals and families in our community to access services and special benefits that help them move forward into housing and teach them how they can be self-sufficient.
Nashua Catholic students helped set up where the event would take place.  While setting up, the students learned much about homelessness:  where homeless people can and can't go
, the average age, and how people are able to discover homeless adolescents aren't even counted in the census because they move around so much and are hard to track.  Overall, it was a great experience for the students.  Along with helping out in the Nashua community, the students learned about the homeless life and how hard it is for some people who have tried everything, but are still stuck in that vicious cycle.
