Nashua Catholic Hosts NET Retreat Team
NET Retreat for NC 7th and 8th Graders will be held on November 1 and 2, 2017.
The NET teams will share their love of Christ and the Church with over 90,000 youth across the country. NET Ministries send over 180 young adults throughout the United States in groups of 8-14, to proclaim the Gospel to the Catholic youth of America.
The goals of every NET Retreat are to help young people understand God’s love for them, to offer faith of the team members as a witness to the youth that faith in God is a desirable, acceptable, and exciting part of their lives, and to encourage young people to grow in their commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church.
Nashua Catholic has held NET retreats in the past, and they were very well received by our students. Members of the NET team are young in age, and have a great connection with our students because of their own youthful experiences, which relate well to our age group. The 7th and 8th grades will each have their own day with the team. These days include fun activities to get closer to the Catholic faith, along with programs meant to encourage our students to be more open with their faith.
The NET team is a group of young adults who have set aside time in their lives to work in this ministry and share their faith. These young adults range from ages 18 to 23 years old and come to us from 9 different states: Wisconsin, California, Missouri, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Texas, Michigan, and Illinois.
