Computer II Class

The purpose of this class: will be to take the eighth-grade student deeper beyond the current Technology and Engineering, and computer curriculum in order to provide in-depth learning of computer coding and applications using hands-on activities and project-based learning. The focus will be on basic mechanical engineering concepts and programming, using accessible technologies appropriate for middle school students.

Activities will include (but not be limited to):

  •        Programming with Scratch
  •        Video editing and design with Windows Movie Maker
  •        Programming robots with Arduino block-based programming
  •        3D design using SketchUp, creating 3D prints or prototypes
  •        Python programming
