Nashua Catholic Regional Jr. H.S. Announces

Jan 16, 2008

Dear Parents and Students,

Nashua Catholic has recently initiated a Paper Recycling Program sponsored by Paper Retriever, AbitibiBowater, Recycling Div., Wilmington, MA. Many area schools and parishes are teaming with Paper Retriever in this unique "fundraising program". Are you interested in helping Nashua Catholic raise money? It won't cost you a cent! All you have to do is save your "white paper" recycling materials and deposit them in the AbitibiBowater Recycling Bin which is located near the rear entrance to our Cafeteria. When the bin reaches its capacity, Paper Retriever will come and empty the bin and pay Nashua Catholic according to the weight of the bin. If you are burdened with excess junk mail, catalogs, newspapers and/or any other paper materials, deposit these in our Paper Retriever Bin. Since our waste paper products seem to pile up near or on the weekends, deposit your recycling materials on Friday or Monday mornings when you drop your child off at school. Or, if you live in the area stop by, at your convenience, to deposit your junk materials. EVERYBODY WINS! You get rid of unnecessary junk papers and Nashua Catholic earns valuable dollars! Please help us out! NO CARDBOARD OR PHONEBOOKS; ONLY NEWSPAPERS, MAGAZINES, CATALOGS AND JUNK MAIL ARE PERMITTED IN THE CONTAINER. SHREDDED PAPER MUST BE TIED IN A PLASTIC BAG.

God Bless,

Thomas Kelleher
Principal

Nashua Catholic Regional Jr. H.S. Announces

Jan 10, 2008

Dear Parents,

On January 30, our 8th graders will be going on a mandatory Field Trip to Trinity High School in Manchester to attend an all day leadership experience for Catholic School students - this field trip corresponds nicely with our activities planned for Catholic Schools Week. Trinity High School will be providing bus transportation for Nashua Catholic students as well as lunch for all attendees. This will be a unique and worthwhile experience for our 8th graders as they will be spending the day attending workshops, participating in activities and listening to multimedia presentations and speakers geared towards helping students recognize their own leadership skills as well as the common goals, attitudes and values they share will other Catholic School students and how they can use their common experiences to have a positive impact on their own lives and the lives of those around them. I am including in this announcement ( with his permission) an email (see below) I received from Mr. Denis Mailloux outlining, in more detail, the goals and concepts of this unique "Young Catholic Leadership Conference". The conference registration form and NC permission slip were distributed in Homeroom on Friday, Jan 11. Please fill out all necessary information on these forms and have your child return them to Homeroom no later than Tuesday, Jan. 15.

God Bless,

Thomas Kelleher
Principal

Graduation News Flash from Mrs. McFadden:

It's the dead of winter and very cold, yet here I am working toward a sunny graduation day on June 12th. The first step of the process is the ordering of the graduation gowns. Your student received an order form and letter (which was to be given to you) the week of December 10th. This form was due back on December 21st. So here is step two! I need your help to get these forms back to me. Please ask your student for the letter/form and return this to me as soon as possible. If your student has lost the form, he or she can get one from either Mrs. Kirkwood or me. Step three, the ordering of the gowns must be done shortly. Thanks for your help!
