Baseball Starts Season 3-0

Not even the weather has been able to slow down the Nashua Catholic bats as the baseball boys have come out swinging, and starting their 2019 campaign with three consecutive wins. “We have been fortunate to be able to string a bunch of timely hits together already this season”, said Head Coach Paul Williams. “These boys have been working hard, many of them even working all year with various AAU or travel programs, and the offense has really been coming alive in this first part of the season” said Williams. Starting out 3-0 is great, but more impressive is that Nashua Catholic has outscored their opponents 49-7 in these opening three games.

One aspect of this team that is being slightly overlooked by the astounding offensive numbers is the impressive pitching performances by a committee of pitchers. “We have some of the most depth in pitchers that I’ve had in my time here at Nashua Catholic. We have a number of boys who can step on the mound and deliver consistent strikes whenever they are called on”, said Coach Williams.

The boys will be looking forward to some dry weather so they can continue their quest for a deep run in the Tri-County Playoffs.

Go Wildcats!
