It was a chilly afternoon, but the Lady Wildcats found a way to heat up their bats for a big 17-0 win against The Derryfield School. 8th Grader Kylie Eichmann took the mound for the Wildcats and threw four solid innings of shutout softball, allowing only one base runner. At the plate, the Wildcats showed their patience as they drew 13 walks to put runners in to scoring position. In the first inning, 7th grader Mikayla Murray took advantage of the ducks on the pond as she stepped up and drove in 2 runs on a base hit to the outfield to open up the scoring. Later, 8th grader Grace Fusco hit a double in to the gap which brought across another 2 runs for the Wildcats. Other Wildcats with hits were Kallen Wu (2 hits), Mollie Hunt, Ishanvi Bachwal, Kylie Eichmann (2 hits), and Emma Service.
Nashua Catholic is off to a good start and look to continue their winning ways as they take the field again against Auburn Village School on Tuesday, April 17.
