Varsity Girls Positioned Well at Christmas Break

The Nashua Catholic Lady Wildcats varsity basketball team is playing some very efficient basketball as they enter in to the Christmas break. At the halfway point of the season, our girls are positioned right near the top of the leader board in the Tri-County Division 3 standings. After a tough loss last week, the girls rebounded, and got back into their winning ways against Weare Middle School as they improved their record to 6-1 on the season.

The girls roster is made up of some talented returning 8th graders, and some very impressive 7th graders who have been logging big minutes on the court. The girls have shown great improvement, and they are truly starting to play as a team. “We have a lot of girls who play a great deal of basketball on this roster, and its nice to see them come together and play well as a group” said Coach Tim Stack. “We’ve had some tough games already this year. Some of these teams come out and play a hard-nosed, physical style of basketball and we have been able to stay right in those games and compete”, said Stack.

With a tough group of returning players, and some impressive newcomers, the girls are keeping their eyes locked on adding another championship to the banners in the gymnasium. There is still plenty of basketball to be played, but so far so good for the Lady Wildcats!

Go Wildcats!
