Amelia Piercy Wins All Nashua Catholic Award

The All Nashua Catholic Award identifies an individual who combines success in athletic competition with excellence in the classroom; all while being involved in community service and other campus activities. The All Nashua Catholic Award was awarded to Amelia Piercy for her outstanding accomplishments in soccer, basketball, and track and field. Amelia, the daughter of Tim and Laura, was a three-season captain in soccer, basketball and track and field at Nashua Catholic.

On the pitch in the fall Amelia was a midfielder who saw very consistent playing time because of her work ethic, and passion for the game. The hard work and dedication paid off as Amelia helped lead the girls soccer team to the Tri-County playoffs. On the court, Amelia was a leading scorer, and a very reliable defender. Even when injury struck, Amelia continued to attend practices to help coach and mentor younger players. On the track Amelia can always be found placing in the top three in the fastest heat of the 400m run, while also qualifying to run in the New Hampshire Meet of Champions against the top runners from all parts of the state.

In the classroom Amelia earned Principals List Honors in each of the four academic quarters, while being an integral member of the Nashua Catholic chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Amelia is planning on continuing her academic and athletic excellence at Bishop Guertin High School in the fall where she looks to compete in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse.
