Mrs. Deborah Gauvin, has been nominated for the NH Catholic School Teacher of the Year Award! Mrs. Gauvin, who teaches 7th grade Life Science, and 8th grade Advanced English, has officially been nominated by Diocese of Manchester Superintendent of Schools Mr. David Thibault. This incredible nomination and recognition is meant to recognize individuals who consistently exemplify the attributes of St. John Baptist de la Salle. The New Hampshire Catholic School Teacher of the Year views Catholic education not only as a profession, but as a vocation of service to students and to the greater Church. The winner of the New Hampshire Catholic School Teacher of the Year Award will be announced at the Recognizing Excellence Awards Gala on June 22, 2017.

A practicing Catholic active in his or her faith, the award recipient brings a joyful witness to his or her ministry that inspires students to not only achieve academically, but to put their skills and knowledge to good use creating the Kingdom of God on earth. The New Hampshire Catholic School Teacher of the Year is a lifelong learner, well-respected by his or her peers, and effectively marries his or her spirituality with pedagogy, effectively and holistically forming the students in his or her care.
