After a great deal of work, Principal Glenda McFadden was notified in late January by The Council for American Private Education (CAPE) that Nashua Catholic was one of 50 private schools nominated to apply for Blue Ribbon Status. NC now joins the selection process with the public schools and will have to wait until September to find out if we will be awarded with this tremendous recognition.
A school can apply for Blue Ribbon School Recognition if students place in the top 15% of the nation in reading and mathematics. NC met this requirement and was recognized as an exemplary high performing school!
The National Blue Ribbon Schools award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging content. The National Schools Ribbon flag gracing a school’s building is a widely recognized symbol of exemplary teaching and learning. National Blue Ribbon schools are honored at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, DC, where each receives a plaque and flag to signify its exemplary status.
